Rahul Gandhi's convoy was Stopped by Manipur Police due to Apprehension of Violence. Rahul Gandhi was asked to leave by Helicopter!

Now there is a round of allegations and counter-allegations between the Congress and the BJP about this. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra has also given a statement on this.

Rahul Gandhi's convoy was stopped by Manipur Police due to apprehension of violence. Now there is a round of allegations and counter-allegations between the Congress and the BJP about this.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited violence-hit Manipur on Thursday (June 29). After reaching Imphal, he was on his way to Churachandpur to visit relief camps. In such a situation, the police stopped his convoy, and he was not allowed to proceed further. The Congress has alleged that the BJP government stopped Rahul on the way by deploying police. However, the BJP has also countered these allegations.

BJP spokesperson #SambitPatra said on Thursday (June 29), "When #RahulGandhi landed in Imphal at 11 am and even before that, an appeal was made to him and his office to go beyond the helicopter due to the sensitivity of the situation here, but he did not agree. He was also told that many people were raising slogans against him. Many organisations also raised their voice against his visit."

Response to Sambit Patra's statement:

Congress leader #SupriyaShrinate has responded to Sambit Patra's statements. "Shame on those who are making such statements. Rahul Gandhi is going to make people there a mess. We don't need advice from Sambit Patra. He is in-charge of Manipur. What is the responsibility of him and his party? Whichever medium Rahul Gandhi goes, he will definitely go. When Manipur is burning, the BJP is calling it a heritage issue."
