Cyclone Biporjoy: On Hightide Alert in Mumbai, Gujarat, IMD predicts Rain

Cyclone Biparjoy will make landfall on June 15 between Mandvi in ​​Gujarat and Karachi in Pakistan as a very severe cyclonic storm with wind speed up to 150 kmph. Fishing closed till June 15. NDMA on high alert in Pakistan. 

Moving north-northeast with a speed of 8 kmph during last six hours, Cyclone Biparjoy over east-central Arabian Sea is expected to make landfall as a Very Severe Cyclonic Storm on Thursday. The cyclone intensified into an "extremely severe cyclonic storm" on Sunday morning.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the cyclone is expected to cross Saurashtra and Kutch regions as well as adjoining coasts of Pakistan between Mandvi in ​​Gujarat and Karachi in Pakistan around noon on June 15.

7) The weather office has advised complete suspension of fishing operations in the area till June 15 and not to venture into the central Arabian Sea, north Arabian Sea during June 12-15 and along Saurashtra-Kutch coasts till June 15 together. Advised.

8) The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in Pakistan has put the concerned authorities on high alert as Cyclone Biparjoy is gaining strength and has now intensified into an Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm (ESCS).

9) It is likely to affect South and South East areas of Sindh on Tuesday.

10) The NDMA has directed the authorities to conduct an awareness campaign in the local language to inform the people in the coastal areas about the weather conditions and advise them not to venture out from the shoreline.
