American Christian evangelist Johnnie Moore has commented on a statement made by former President Barack Obama. 
He said that instead of criticizing India, former President Barack Obama should spend his energy in praising the country. Moore stated that India is the most diverse nation in human history, and America should appreciate it as the world's largest democracy.

During a conversation with news agency ANI, Johnny Moore said, "I think that former President Barack Obama should spend his energy in praising India rather than criticizing it. India is the most diverse country in human history." Moore told ANI, "Just as America is not a perfect country, neither is India, but its diversity is its strength, and we should applaud the world's largest democracy."

America can learn a lot from India.

Moore told ANI, "America can learn a lot from India. India is the most pluralistic country in the world.
It is a laboratory of religions. I went to India to learn about religion, and one remarkable thing about India is that it has more languages, more religions, and more diverse people in a pluralistic democracy. There is something for us to celebrate on every occasion."

What did Barack Obama say?
It is noteworthy that Barack Obama recently said that Joe Biden should raise the issue of religious freedom with India. Obama said that if he were still the American President, he would do the same.

In an interview with CNN on June 22nd, Obama stated that if India does not protect the rights of its minority communities, there is a strong possibility of the country becoming divided on some issue. Johnnie Moore made this comment just one day after Obama's statement.
USCIRF urged Biden to address issues related to religious freedom and other relevant human rights during Prime Minister Modi's political visit to India. 
It alleged that the government led by the BJP has supported discriminatory national and state-level policies that severely hinder and restrict the religious freedom of minority groups.

Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated that the former president's remarks were surprising because during his tenure, six Muslim-majority countries had to face American "bombardment."
